For this project, we had to take pictures of ourselves and then create digital self portraits on Illustrator. We used the pen tool, and the brush tool using brushes we made and used non uniform strokes. We stuck to the Pop Art pallet for the entire project and used stripes and Ben-Day dot patterns for the skin, the background, the hair, etc.... Then we added a text bubble and used comic style fonts.
I chose the onomatopoeia word, BAM to set up my story. We made basic shapes and changed their appearance by using warp effects and changing colors. I also added Ben-Day dots and stripes. Those patterns made some of the colors look different when zoomed out. We had to use at least 3-4 shapes and have a onomatopoeia word typed in a comic style font on the word art, we also needed dot and stripe patterns.

My story includes dance, so I start with the self portrait and then move onto the3 word art. In my 3rd and final frame I traced a picture of me and my best friend, Danielle at dance. And then I created the scene where we're using the action word into the project. I used the brushes i made and the Ben-Day dot patterns to complete this scene. Then I put all the scenes together in Mrs. T's template and created the comic scene below.
This is the finish project that I completed.
